Student Loans

Welcome to the Student Loan website. We are responsible for the administration (which consists of loan requirements such as master promissory note and entrance counseling)​ of Federal Student Loans which includes the Federal Direct Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Loan (also known as a Stafford Loan) and the Federal Direct Parent Plus Loan.  We also handle repayment for the Federal Perkins Loan with our loan servicer, University Accounting Service.  For information on loan options and questions on loan awards, please contact the Office of Financial Aid​.

Important Information for 2020-2021 Parent PLUS Loans

Important Information for Incoming Students

Any student that has been awarded a Federal Direct Student Loan is required to complete online Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note. Emails are sent from the Student Loan office with instructions in the beginning of July. Please note that you will not be able to sign for these loans until after July 1 2020​.  Below are the links for the requirements. For further information see the Federal Direct Student Loans page. Please note you will need your FSA ID to comp​lete your requirements (see below).​

Important Information for Withdrawn/Transferred and/or Graduating Students

If you have been a recipient of Federal Direct Loans and/​or Federal Perkins Loans while attending Providence College, it is mandatory that you complete online exit requirements for each loan.

The exit requirement for the Federal Direct Loan can be completed at https://studentaid.gov

The exit requirement for your Federal Perkins Loan can be completed at www.uasconnect.com

FSA ID Information

If you do not know your FSA ID you will need to visit the Federal Student Aid website at https://studentaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm. Once on this site, click on the tab labeled ‘Edit my FSA ID’.  For assistance, please contact the US Department of Education Direct Loans at (800)557-7394.​
